A Tale of Inspiration: Reflections on Recent Events

My blog post idea was sparked by a remarkable event shared by our dear friend 7/8 Nayem during his Ekattor live video. He recounted the heartwarming story of Norwegian Elizabeth's quest to reunite with her Bangladeshi mother, a tale that touched many hearts within our community. Coincidentally, this event coincided with my weekly movie time, where I had the pleasure of watching "Kacher Manush Dure Thuia." As the film unfolded, its themes of love, resilience, and the pursuit of identity resonated deeply with me, prompting me to share my thoughts and reflections on our beloved Duba platform.

The Story Unfolds:

Allow me to delve into the details of these two remarkable narratives and explore the profound impact they've had on my own journey. The story of Norwegian Elizabeth's journey to find her biological Bangladeshi mother is nothing short of remarkable. Born in 1975, Elizabeth's early life took an unexpected turn when her 13-year-old mother, grappling with the loss of her husband, made the difficult decision to place her in the care of a social welfare center. From there, Elizabeth embarked on a life-changing journey that led her to Norway, where she was lovingly raised by a Norwegian couple. Fast forward 45 years, and Elizabeth found herself returning to Bangladesh in search of her roots. With some help from our very own 7/8 Nayeem [from his position] , a dedicated social welfare officer, she embarked on a quest to reconnect with her biological mother—a journey filled with hope, determination, and ultimately, reunion.

Cinematic Inspiration:

As I reflect on Elizabeth's story, I'm reminded of the powerful narrative depicted in "Kacher Manush Dure Thuia." Directed by Shihab Saheen, this poignant film follows the journey of Pritom (Farhan in the film) is an orphaned boy with dreams of love and success. Despite facing numerous obstacles, including societal barriers and geographical distance, Pritom's unwavering determination and love for his partner, actor Tasmia Farin (played by Sharmin in the film), propel him forward. Their story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of love. In this film,Farin is an event management entrepreneur, while Pritom is a RUET Engineer.

Personal Reflections:

These two narratives strike a chord with me on a deeply personal level. Having experienced the loss of my father at very young age similar to Elizabeth  and being adopted by my uncle, I understand the complexities of navigating life's challenges. The struggles and triumphs depicted in both Elizabeth's journey and Pritom's love story resonate deeply with my own experiences. As I watched "Kacher Manush Dure Thuia," I couldn't help but admire the film's portrayal of women's entrepreneurship and the defiance of societal norms. Like Pritom and Farin, who navigate the complexities of love and ambition, I, too, had faced challenges in pursuing my entrepreneurial dreams. While our paths may differ, the underlying themes of resilience, love, and determination unite us all.I lost all my investment when I broke up with my partner, but in the film, they didn't break up; instead, they made it into a successful family in the end.
